Does this one count? My cat was "bugging" me while I drank my tea. She wouldn't leave me alone, kept meowing and demanding attention. She even put her front paws on my lap to see what I was doing. So I offered her some tea and told her that I wanted to finish it before I followed her (she's weird, she wants to be followed before she'll let you pet her). It's a good thing cats don't like green peony! She gave me a few minutes peace to finish my tea after that...as if she had understood that "the human slave is busy, so I'll have to wait since this one is the only one awake". Now she's "helping" me write this post, she's on the computer desk and walks across the keyboard every few minutes, but at least she's not interrupting my tea time anymore! Those of you with cats, try offering the cat some tea if he/she ever interrupts tea time! It worked for me.

Hi Dr. Tea, Don't know where else to put this tea recipe. So it's going in "tea moments". This was a triumph for me: TEA PIZZA!!!!! Used a whole wheat pita (200 calories) and 1 ounce of lowfat mozzerella cheese (80 calories). I put fine-ground black tea in the pizza sauce (40 calories), just barely enough to taste the tea, not too much that it was overpowering, I also use garlic and italian seasoning. Then I took two slices of ham lunchmeat (20 calories) and tore them up over the cheese. Then I baked it at 400 farenheit for 10 minutes (toaster oven works great!). Pretty good lunch for only 340 calories! Plus I had a nice big pot of dragon well with it. You can use a flour tortilla if you don't have pita, but that's less satisfying and only saves you 20 calories. Yes I know I'm talking a lot about calories, but I find it much easier to make sure I'm not eating too much if I count my calories very carefully. Of course, I wasn't very good at dinner....went to a dinner group I'm part of and ate too much....let's just say I have a strong weakness for guacamole. But I was really good all the rest of the day. And I had tea at dinner. So it wasn't as bad as it could've been.

Well, this has absolutely Nothing to do with your semi-inspiring question (which i would LOVE to answer, but am unable to) But just as an FYI/BTW (for your information/ by the way... yes I'm still young and still use the teen "lingo" ) I left an email for you, and it included a question. OH! BTW <-(there's the "teen lingo" again.) i read your book...LOVE IT! and i agreed with all the concepts you had in there too, as this is not a normal thing for me. i bought it four days ago, read it slowly and started the diet two days ago. Snaps for me!!
Well, thanks a tonne. from your new friend in tea (who has not yet been to your store and would love to, and still cannot because she lives in Australia!)
I had a cake that I had baked for a potluck that was cancelled, so I invited three little girls over for a tea party! I knew if I didn't get help eating the cake I would definitely eat more than the one slice I was trying to limit myself to. (I only bake cakes when I have a potluck to go to since I figure a slice of cake every once in a while won't hurt, it's just that having too much is a really bad idea) So I brewed up a big pot of decaf Darjeeling so that the little girls could be introduced to real tea without all the caffine. It was loosleaf too, so I strained it into their teacups, and they were fascinated by tea that wasn't from a bag! I did put out cream and sugar for the girls, but I didn't use it at all, I had mine plain. And I learned that most kids prefer cream and sugar in their tea. All in all a great tea moment.
